Excellent omakase place in Texas. We were a bit late due to rain/traffic but they were very nice enough to accommodate us and served us the entire menu with the rest of restaurant party. Every course was delicious - fresh quality fish and for someone who normally does not eat sweets, the dessert was surprisingly one of my favorites! Definitely worth the price. You pay when making your reservation but you can order drinks at the place, which of course is extra. The staff is very professional and attentive. They truly try to make it your best experience. Due to the location of the restaurant, parking can sometimes be difficult so I recommend getting there a bit early.

We loved our experience at Shoyo and absolutely will return. The fish quality is amazing, certainly one of the best in TX. Every course is well thought out and compliments each other. Even the ginger and soy sauce tasted great. The atmosphere was delightful because the chefs and staffs were very engaging with the guests. We haven’t had an omakase experience that made us laugh this much before. We felt very welcomed and appreciated. It is definitely a highend meal but I’m sure you will have a great time here.

The main chef, owner is very knowledgeable about sushi history and caring about the sushi culture. We came here many times and each time, they have totally different courses. Cozy and fresh, unique ingredients. The suck park is the parking spot. It was nightmare every time we tried to find a parking.

A true 5/5 all around! Food: No one goes to omakase expecting to leave full, but surprisingly we weren't as hungry as we thought we would be (we shared a cup of pretzel bites about an hour before though). We booked the 8:15pm slot, and we had 19 courses. Chef Jimmy and Chef Jun made it 20 courses because they ran a teeny bit late to start for which they apologized deeply. Every bite was special and had us stunned for a few seconds as we were appreciating all of the unique flavors. Our favorites were the chilean sea bass from the kitchen, followed by the chu toro, and then the hamachi aburi (a la carte). The ice cream was also so wonderful. The texture was like marshmallow fluff, and the fruits were all sweet! My fiance really liked the white peach and apple sodas! Service: There were 3 servers who cleared our plates, brought out the kitchen dishes, and explained what was in the dishes. They were all very kind, patient, and attentive people! Chef Jimmy was lively and made a great effort to include everyone in with the conversation. Chef Jun was respectful and was generous with the portions he gave. I had gotten proposed to that day, and the chefs as well as the servers made us feel very special and loved! Atmosphere: Somewhat low lighting, but not too dark - perfect in my opinion. 14 people in front of the chefs, and it felt very warm, like two people who wanted to bring friends in and feed them. Highly recommend this place. The chefs are very humble, acknolwedge when when there are pitfalls, and just want you to have the best experience. Would go again for sure. Please don't hesitate on eating at this place over another!

An absolutely incredible culinary experience. As a pregnant (with twins) foodie I was a little worried I’d be judged for eating raw fish, Chef Jimmy brought me so much delight when he said how much he loves a pregnant woman who eats sushi. He was warm, funny, and entertaining. Each dish was well above our high expectations. We had one of the best meals I’ve ever had and a truly great time with Chef Jimmy, his staff, and the rest of our seating group. Came here from Florida on a trip and will absolutely be coming back! Thank you Chef for an amazing evening and for feeding me and the two babies!

Phenomenal every single time Chef Jimmy is so fun, knowledgeable, and passionate and you can taste that through every single course through the night. The service and hospitality, the fish, the vibes are what make Shoyo the very best omakase in Dallas.

I had such a great time at Shoyo in Dallas! Chef Jimmy Park is not only super talented but also really fun and entertaining, which made the whole evening even better. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the uni was hands down the best I’ve ever had – so creamy and rich! What I loved most was how Chef Jimmy explained everything about the fish, like where it came from and what makes it special. It made the meal feel more personal and made each bite taste even better. The place is spotless, and the staff is so attentive. They kept everything clean, down to the tiniest crumbs, which gave me a lot of trust in the whole experience. Parking is valet, and the entrance is really low-key, so it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking carefully. But once you’re inside, it’s all about amazing food and great vibes. If you’re into sushi and looking for a special night out, I’d totally recommend Shoyo!
